15 Decades Connected Through Photos

A photo gallery has been set up at an ancient monument which connects 15 decades into one place.

Photos vary from family holidays, honeymoons, parties and emotional goodbyes all adding up to 148 photos and displayed at the great stone circle, Stonehenge in Wiltshire.

The call for such unique exhibition was sent out to people worldwide by the English Heritage and a photographer Martin Parr.

“The photographs people sent in really show what the stones mean to people and how our relationship with a site like Stonehenge has changed and yet stayed the same through time," said Parr.

The photos also differ from traditional black and white photos to others taken using a smartphone and taking a selfie. The oldest is a family photo taken back in 1875 while another is of a couple taking a selfie while kissing in 2019.
