Raw. Real. Authentic. Unpolished.
Demi posted a pic of hers showing cellulite. She was tired of being ashamed of her body, editing it purposely. “It’s just not me”, she said, in a bid to encourage her followers to appreciate their body. Perhaps, we’ve become too Instagram-conscious, don’t you think?
Let’s take yoga. A simple sport, considered to be one of the first forms of exercise, bringing physical and psychological benefits to those practicing it. Notwithstanding, in this day and age, things have changed considerably. Instagram is fuelling a rise in injuries among yoga teachers, too, The Telegraph reports. Wanting the perfect social media post has become the new trend. But, does it reflect reality? If not, this should serve as a real wake-up call for all.
